Teaching Experience

Rebecca McCarthy School of Dance

Faculty Member

As a member of the RMSD faculty, Megan brings her experience as a lifelong dancer, McDance Company performer, competitive team member, captain, and mentor into the classroom.

Her own journey through the RMSD program gives her a unique perspective when working with younger dancers. She understands the progression from beginning student to confident performer and enjoys helping dancers navigate that journey themselves.

Teaching Philosopy

For Megan, dance is about more than learning choreography or perfecting a difficult step.

Her experiences as a performer, competitive dancer, captain, and mentor have shown her the importance of discipline, teamwork, confidence, perseverance, and leadership.

She strives to create an environment where dancers feel encouraged to challenge themselves, support one another, and discover what they are capable of achieving.

Her goal is to help each dancer develop not only as a performer, but also as a confident, dedicated, and positive individual.

The RMSD Journey

Megan’s connection to Rebecca McCarthy School of Dance is particularly meaningful because she has experienced the RMSD community from nearly every perspective—as a young student, longtime company member, performer, leader, mentor, and now instructor.

After more than a decade of training and performing with RMSD, she is excited to give back to the studio that has played such an important role in her own development.

Megan hopes to provide today’s dancers with the same opportunities to grow, perform, lead, build friendships, and create lasting memories that have shaped her own dance journey.
